Broken Heart

the days flew by and she lost track of time
every moment she was with him she was on cloud nine
one bright sunny day he asked her to be his girlfriend
of course she said yes and prayed they'd last until the end
No one could look into her eyes and say she wasn't happy
just when she thought all was well
Was when he began to put her through hell
he said they should just be friends
that's when she knew it was the end
she looked into his eyes trying to find out why
it was all she could do to hold back and not cry
Where she once saw love, she saw nothing
she couldn't believe he no longer felt something
she lay in bed, counting her tears
each representing what she'd hoped would be years
years of happiness for them  to be together
a long lived life forever and ever
she gave him her all and of course her heart
little did she know that he'd tear it apart
